Good note on use of Plugins w/SUSE or AMD64

• Make sure RPM of
• Always check your RPM installer first, if that doesn't work, see the below
• See if custom RPM is available, http://macromedia.mplug.org/ ( http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/macromedia/site_ucsc.html )

  • Basically, copy .class and .jar files to folders:
    • /usr/local/mozilla/plugins
    • /usr/local/firefox/plugins
    •  ? /user/lib/opera/plugins
    •  ? /user/lib/browser plugins
  • Also add the /usr/local/mozilla/plugins directory in konq's and opera's plugins path.

Here's a note:

After the install of the rpm, there should be 2 new symlinks in /opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins
These are flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so, pointing to /usr/lib/browser-plugins/flashplayer.xpt
and /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so
